Work Experience

Changing Lives for offenders through Work Experience

Employment is a known key factor in reducing reoffending. Providing work experience for offenders on ROTL (release on temporary license) or when they have left custody is an important part of helping offenders prepare for paid work and their general resettlement in the community.

Our team at Construct A Future have helped over 500 offenders in to sustainable employment throughout their careers and support both the employer and offender equally.

Some of these roles include

Architects achieving 1st class honour degrees
Reinforced Concrete Designer
Health and Safety managers
Setting out Engineers
Tradesmen
Labourers
Warehouse / depot workers
Machine operators
Supermarket roles
Catering workers / managers
Drivers
Teachers

They do all they can to help and support us beneficiaries, giving thier own time willingly. They have personally helped and supported me into not just employment but into what I’m hoping will be a career. September 2017

Would you like to give an offender a work experience opportunity in your workplace?

We welcome the opportunity to help employers through the perceived problems of employing offenders. If you are interested in giving an opportunity to an offender please call to discuss in more detail.

Funding

Construct A Future works in partnership with HMP Rochester and Cookham Wood YOI to provide this valuable opportunity for offenders to gain experience work. We also owe a debt of thanks to Wates Family Enterprise Trust that has provided much needed funding to bridge the gap in our enterprise returns and costs of delivering this programme and all our employers that have provided placements.

We welcome any funding and support
